In short
Open Banking Lab is a free, public documentation site. It offers no account, no sign-up and no paid service, and therefore collects no personal data to identify you. Data processing is limited to what is strictly necessary to operate and secure the site, as described below.
Data controller
The data controller is the site publisher, Tancrède Simonin EI (full details in the legal notice).

Data processed and purposes
- Audience measurement. We use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless solution hosted in the European Union. Statistics are aggregated and anonymous: no individual profile is built, and no data is shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Legal basis: legitimate interest (measuring traffic to improve content).
- Technical logs. Our host keeps connection logs (including the IP address) to operate and secure the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest (security).
- Email exchanges. If you write to us, we process the information you send (email address, message content) for the sole purpose of replying. Legal basis: legitimate interest (responding to your request).
No other data is collected. The site uses no tracking cookies or targeted advertising — see the cookie policy.
Recipients
Your data is never sold, rented or exchanged. The only processors involved are our host (OVH, European Union) and our audience-measurement tool (Plausible, European Union).
Transfers outside the European Union
None. All processors used store data within the European Union.
Retention periods
- Audience statistics: kept in aggregated form, without personal data.
- Technical logs: kept for a short period by the host, for security purposes.
- Emails: kept for as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data. You may exercise these rights at any time by writing to hello@openbankinglab.tech.
You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French supervisory authority) if you believe the processing of your data does not comply with the rules.
Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to applicable regulations. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page.
